The Golden Rules of Acceleration Training Exercise
Always check the contra-indications before starting the Power Plate® machine training – these are listed in the Frequently Asked Questions. If you think you might fall within any of the contra-indications, you should not proceed with the training without medical advice.
- Before training make sure you drink enough water or an isotonic sports drink to ensure you are sufficiently hydrated.
- In order to achieve best results train two or three times a week on the Power Plate® (at least in the beginning) and try to allow 48 hours between sessions.
- Ensure you keep your body weight mainly on the front part of the foot.
- Do not use Power Plate® machine with straight legs.
- Do not hang onto the handle bars – use them lightly to keep your equilibrium.
- Avoid direct skin contact with the training surface (base plate).
- Cover your legs if you want to take advantage of the massage facility at the end of each class.
- The dynabands, which are sometimes used in exercises, contain latex – tell the trainer if you are allergic.
- Turn up on time! The classes are back to back and there is no time to 'catch up'.
- If you need to change a class let us know at least 24 hours before. If you don’t turn up we charge you.
- Arrive 15 minutes before your first class to allow time for paperwork.
